Ankita’s beliefs about food all started with her family back in India. Growing up, she watched her mother and grandmother spend the entire day cooking, cleaning, and feeding a large and hungry family. Spices were ground by hand, and there was always a pot of something delicious simmering on the stove. Festivals were met with weeks of preparation and enough food to feed a small village.
While her life is much different now, she strives to infuse her menus with the same principals she learned from her family — start simply, with whole foods, and make meals from scratch. This results in food that is flavourful and full of health boosting ingredients.
